All Oktober Films projects from mid-2005 onwards are shot in HD, regardless of budget. There is still no medium to play HD, Blu-Ray and HD DVD are on the horizon, but not there yet. HD TVs are few and far between. So why bother? Because we can. The real reason is future-proof. Although current projects are delivered in SD (standard definition) that will play on every TV, the possibility of re-editing the footage in HD later is there and ensures that whatever we produce today will not be rejected later because it is lacking in (image) quality.
