I wasn't sure I had made the right decision after I met Jóel for the first time. It was a cold March afternoon in Reykjavík. We sat down in a café and drank Malt (Icelandic drink, kind of light and sweet dark beer). The next time we met was in August, in time for the shooting of the film. I thought I had found a good actor for the job, but I was wrong. His performance was fantastic and he made sure nobody was bored between takes. There is no doubt in my mind that we will work together again.

He is now attending Rose Bruford College in the UK.
