| How can I say this without sounding like a sentimental fool? When I first saw Marike, and especially when I first heard her, I knew I had found something special. She was nice in that there was no trace of pretension, no popstar complex. She just got in front of the audience and did her thing. She did it so well that the whole audience was silent, captivated by this talent.
When I got the option of making a video for her, I jumped at the chance. I actually approached her about it. |

| The song is about finding your own thing and going with it, no matter what others say. The video should include some element of that. I did not want to play out the lyrics literally on the screen. I was more interested in complementing the song, but giving the video a life of it's own.
