Oktober Films are on a mission. There are countless talented people out there, wanting nothing more than to express themselves to the world. They want to scream at the world, they want to be noticed. Or they just want to do something different, something that means something to them and others.
Oktober Films started life humbly around the end of 2004 and has been growing at a nice, easy, pace. From a tiny, one camera live shoot to an double DVD release of a concert filmed on a special fan day, to a short documentary on a painter. That were the baby steps. Then we shot a short film in 2005 in collaboration with others and a music video for an extremely gifted Dutch singer-songwriter, Marike Jager. The latest release, Black Sand, is being submitted to festivals. We are currently working on a few projects, including two feature length films and countless concert filmings. We are always looking for inspiration, so if you have an idea, have a band that needs a video, an idea for a short or a feature, think you can work on a film and want us to be aware of you, get in touch. If you need a High Definition video shot, you can get in touch. We have a Sony HDR-FX1, capable of making videos of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Standard TV signal is 720 x 576 pixels (PAL Europe), or 720 x 480 pixels (NTSC USA). We can keep it simple or organise a seven camera shoot. It all depends on the needs of the project.
